Friendly WiFi is the government-initiated safe certification standard for public WiFi. The Friendly WiFi symbol tells you where the Public WiFi service meets minimum filtering standards – particularly in areas where children are present.
The certification is available across all sectors, including retail, hospitality, transport and the education sector.
Approved venues and locations (including transport vehicles) worldwide displaying the Friendly WiFi Approved symbol have proved their service blocks access to websites displaying pornography, child sexual abuse material and web pages known by the Internet Watch Foundation to host indecent images of children.
We also check and advise you on measures to block access to protect against terrorism, helping our certified clients to minimise the potential for searches to return results linking to terrorist content and activity.
