Elmsleigh Shopping Centre joins Friendly WiFi

We are pleased to announce that Elmsleigh Shopping Centre in the heart of Staines Upon Thames has joined Friendly WiFi in the journey to make Public WiFi a safer place for children and young people. As a result of a recent partnership between Friendly WiFi and Freerunner Net, the company responsible for providing the shopping centre's Pubic WiFi services, the shopping centre was introduced to Friendly WiFi by Freerunner. After completing the approval process, Elmsleigh Shopping Centre has recently achieved accreditation under the scheme. The accreditation confirms that the shopping centre's Public WiFi service includes filters to ensure that child sexual abuse content and pornography is blocked.

Elmsleigh Shopping Centre now displays the Friendly WiFi symbol on their Public WiFi landing page and website.

Elmsleigh are delighted to be one of the first shopping centres in the country to offer friendly WiFi. Kam Purewal the centres marketing manager said 'We realise how important it is to offer the means to keep in touch whilst on the move but also to do so being confident that our WiFi hotspot is safe for all the family'.

Friendly WiFi continue to target Public areas where Free WiFi and concerns over online safety is becoming more popular. The addition of Elmsleigh Shopping Centre is great news and provides increased awareness of the scheme for both its visitors and other high street brands who offer Public WiFi services at their venue and surrounding areas.
