Friendly WiFi helping Schools to Stay Safe

Safeguarding Essentials - now incorporating E-safety Support - is an online service that offers everything a school needs to deliver consistent, outstanding safeguarding practice to help keep pupils & staff safe both online and offline whilst working towards their inspection requirements.

Since 2013, they have been supporting schools across the UK and beyond to deliver consistent, outstanding practice in online safety. Recently, they have added additional resources to their service to address wider safeguarding requirements.

Safeguarding Essentials has teamed up with Friendly WiFi to offer subsidised membership to those schools most in need – with up to 100% discounts made available to qualifying schools.

Their subsidised memberships are allocated based on the current Ofsted rating or school status and provide the school with a suite of resources to support their safeguarding provision, which now includes the option to become Friendly WiFi certified at no cost.

The Friendly WiFi certification allows schools to receive an annual check to make sure they have suitable levels of web filtering in place on their WiFi service, plus allowing them to use and display the Friendly WiFi symbol to show their Teachers, Parents and Children their WiFi service is safe to use.

Mike Davies, Consultant at Friendly WiFi said “We are delighted to be working with Safeguarding Essentials, who continue to deliver outstanding safeguarding practice across schools. We recognise the need for continual improvement and are pleased to be able to offer discounted access to the certification for qualifying schools”
